First of all, welcome to our wonderful neighborhood.  We look forward to getting to know you perhaps at one of our social events, on the street as many of us take our morning or evening walk, or just down by the pool.

You may be one of those people content to stay at home, but if you like getting to know those living around you, there are plenty of opportunities to do that.  Our major social event of the year is our Fall Picnic in September.  Other community events are the Easter Egg Hunt, Subdivision Garage Sale, Holiday Progressive Dinner Party, and an occasional Gourmet Social Dinner Night and sometimes we have impromptu events. Halloween is a special time when the entire neighborhood is abuzz with little "Treaters." (No "Trickers" allowed!)  If you are into sports, there are always people looking for tennis partners and pickup teams of basketball or golf outings. Maybe a book club or bunko is more your speed.

Be sure to visit our website often at www.fpehoa.com which has helpful information in addition to current and updated activities in the neighborhood.   Make sure to get our on email address list by sending your email address to This email address is being protected from spambots. Notification will be sent regarding the annual FPE Home Owners Association meeting scheduled annually in November. Your presence is needed to make quorum and we hope you will make every effort to attend.

The Board is responsible for, among other things, maintaining the common areas and amenities as well as overseeing that the overall appearance of our community continues to be a desirable place to live. We ask that you become familiar with our Covenants, Restrictions and Bylaws. Be sure to notify the Architectural Committee of any exterior change request and complete an architectural modification request form in plenty of time before your big (or little) project is scheduled to start.

We think you'll find this a "homeowner participation" community and your voice is always welcome.  Be sure to contact your Association Board of Directors if you have a question or notice something amiss in the neighborhood.   The contact info and name of each Board Member is listed on the website under Elected Board Members.  You will also find the Pool rules and other useful information on the website.  Annual Homeowners dues invoices will be mailed in late May for a June due date. Trash and recycling services with Deffenbaugh Industries are included in the HOA dues. For mailbox keys or information, contact the Shawnee Mission Post Office on Monticello and Shawnee Mission Parkway.
Again, welcome to Forest Park Estates and be sure to introduce yourselves as you see us around and about.
