USE COMMON SENSE:
While most of the rules apply to common sense, it is important to note that no food or glass of any kind is allowed in the pool area. In years past, trash and pizza boxes have blown into the pool and lodged in the drain at the bottom of the pool, resulting in a burned out pool pump motor, which caused considerable expense as well as closing the pool until repairs could be made. Broken glass on the deck area will result in closing the pool, draining, vacuuming, and refilling it again at considerable expense not to mention the week it takes to drain and refill the pool.
HYGIENE/DISEASE PREVENTION:
In an effort to prevent the spread of parasitic bacteria in the pool area, the Johnson County Health Department prohibits the use of disposable diapers of any kind in either the regular pool or baby pool. A swim diaper enclosed in a pair of plastic pants with elastic waist and leg bands is required. In addition, each person should shower before entering the pool. Unannounced, random visits from the Health Department could result in the pool being closed if we are found in violation of the disposable diaper ruling.
POOL GUESTS:
FPE members are responsible for all guests that you or your children invite to the pool. Any damage will be billed to you through the Homes Association based on estimates gathered by qualified contractors or equipment suppliers.
24 HOUR VIDEO SURVEILLANCE:
The pool house is equipped with a secured 24 hour camera / video surveillance recording system for safety and security issues as well as providing documentation for insurance purposes in the event of theft or accident.
POOL AND PICNIC RESERVATIONS:
Group party reservations at the pool are limited to Monday-Thursday "Excluding Holidays" in order to allow other residents to enjoy the pool on the most heavily visited weekend days. The picnic area may be reserved any day of the week due to ample space for guests.
To make a reservation, please contact the Social Committee Chairperson, and post a notice on the fence near the pool gate at least two weeks prior to the event. The notice must include the event name, date, and time, and most importantly, the homeowner’s name and phone number. (You might consider a protective cover sheet to shield the notice from weather.)
The FPE homeowner is responsible for cleaning up all of the group’s trash and removing it from the area. The HOA does not have the facilities or the manpower to pick up after you. Any trash left behind from a party will result in a $100 fine that will be billed to the party host by the FPEHOA.
Reserving the picnic tables or pool for a group party is not intended to give you exclusive use of the facilities for your party. All FPE members can still use the pool and park area while there is a posted group party.
POOL CARDS:
The pool gate is equipped with an electronic gate lock latch that will unlock when you pass your card over the reader box. The cards are good from one year to the next and should be kept in a safe place. If your card is damaged, you must return the damaged card to the Pool Chairman and you will be given a new card at no charge. If you lose or misplace your pool card, report it to the Pool Chairman so that card number can be deactivated. There is a $100 fee payable to FPE to replace your lost or stolen card.
Thank you for your cooperation in following the pool guidelines. Enjoy the summer!
